Samoa Joe(原名Nuufolau Joel "Joe" Seanoa 3月17日, 1979年 美国加洲)和 John Cena 一同于 UPW 受训， Samoa Joe 以固技作为自己的招牌，因而取得外号 Submission Machine。
05 年十月日本 Noah 神级选手小桥建太越洋挑战， ROH 派出迎战的正是 Samoa Joe ，可见其 indy 界中地位。
Samoa Joe 亦是因为和 Generation Next 作对而上位的摔角手之一，他在 ROH 的主要赛事是和 CM Punk 争 ROH Championship。
Samoa Joe 本身是一个格斗迷，因此他的摔角风格亦加入了许多 MMA 元素，所以他的表演常给摔迷一种真实感觉，他凭这种风格令自己成为职摔界一个很别异的摔角手，这亦是他受欢迎的原因。
