Warwick is a town in Kent County, Rhode Island, United States. The population as of the 2010 national census was 82,672, making it the second largest city in the state of Rhode Island.

Warwick was founded in 1642 by Samuel Gorton, the founder and leader of the Rhode Island colony. It was purchased from the Narragansett Indian Sachem Miantonomi as part of the Shawhomett Purchase for 144 fathoms of wampum. This purchase also included the towns of Coventry and West Warwick, Rhode Island.

More modern, it was the headquarters to the Eckerd Drug store Corporation before it was sold and folded into CVS in 2004. Warwick's airport serves as a relief to Boston's Logan Airport when air traffic in the region gets too hectic.
