Rita Reis (July 18, 1995) is a Brazilian martial artist and professional wrestler previously signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on its NXT brand under the ring name Valentina Feroz.
Early life[]
Reis began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 7. By age 14, Reis transitioned into Judoka (or Judo). At 19 she made history becoming the first female to win a Bronze Medal in the Judo World Championship. During 2016, she trained for Olympic Wrestling. On April 19, 2017, Reis became a Jiu-Jitsu World Champion.
Professional wrestling career[]
World Wrestling Entertainment (2019-2024)[]
At age 23, Reis participated in a WWE South American Tryout held in Chile. It was reported as early as May 14, 2019, WWE signed Reis to a developmental contract.
NXT (2019-2024)[]
Reis debuted in a house show held on December 5 in Jacksonville, Florida. It was promoted as the First Ever All-Women Live Event, during which Reis teamed with Chilean NXT recruit Catalina Garcia in a tag match lost to Briana Brandy & Taynara. Two nights later, Reis wrestled her first singles match during the December 7 house show, losing to MJ Jenkins. She returned to wrestling tag team matches for the remainder of the year and into the following months of 2020. Reis made her televised debut on the September 23 episode of NXT, competed in a Number One Contender Battle Royal won by Candice LeRae. Three months later, she returned under the ring name Valentina Feroz on the December 30 episode of NXT, losing a match to Mercedes Martinez. She returned to television in 2021 on the January 13 episode of NXT, losing a match to Xia Li. She returned on the February 17 episode of NXT, losing a match to Zoey Stark.
