Toxic Attraction

Toxic Attraction was a professional wrestling stable and later a tag team in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on the NXT brand consisting of Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne.

History[]

In July 2021, Mandy Rose returned to the NXT brand. Then in September after scouting Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne, Mandy formed a new stable with them dubbed Toxic Attraction. After beginning a rivalry with Io Shirai & Zoey Stark, Dolin and Jayne failed to win the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship from Shirai and Stark on the September 28, 2021 episode of NXT. Later that night, following a match between Franky Monet and NXT Women's Champion Raquel González, Toxic Attraction attacked both the champion and Monet. On the October 12, 2021 episode of NXT, Mandy Rose challenged González, while Dolin and Jayne challenged Shirai and Stark to matches at NXT Halloween Havoc. At Halloween Havoc, Dolin and Jayne defeated Io Shirai and Zoey Stark, along with Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta, in a Three Way Ladder match to win the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship. The same night, Mandy Rose defeated Raquel González to win the NXT Women's Championship after a hooded figure, revealed to be González's former partner Dakota Kai, attacked González with a shovel. Kai would partner with Toxic Attraction at NXT WarGames 2021 in a losing effort against Cora Jade, Io Shirai, Kay Lee Ray, and Raquel González in the women's WarGames match.

Soon after WarGames, Rose successfully defended her NXT Women's Championship against Cora Jade and Raquel González in a Triple Threat match at NXT New Year's Evil 2022. Kay Lee Ray would be the next woman to face Rose after she continuously attacked Rose. However, on the February 8, 2022 episode of NXT, Rose defeated Kay Lee Ray to retain her title. Before Rose's match with Kay Lee Ray, Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta attacked Dolin and Jayne. As a result, Dolin and Jayne faced Hartwell and Pirotta for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship at NXT Vengeance Day 2022, which saw Dolin and Jayne also successfully retain their championship. On the NXT Stand & Deliver 2022 pre-show, Dolin and Jayne lost the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship, thanks to interference from Wendy Choo, to Raquel González and Dakota Kai, who had rediscovered their friendship. Mandy Rose saw more success, defending her NXT Women's Championship in a Four Way match against Cora Jade and the 2022 Dusty Rhodes Women's Tag Team Classic winners, Kay Lee Ray and Io Shirai, who used their tournament win to both enter into a match with Rose. Three days after Stand & Deliver 2022, Dolin and Jayne won back the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship, with the help of Mandy Rose, on the April 5, 2022 episode of NXT. The following week, Rose faced Dakota Kai in a winning effort to retain the NXT Women's Championship.

Due to Wendy Choo's interference in their matches, Toxic Attraction began feuding with Choo. Dolin and Jayne defeated Choo and Roxanne Perez to retain the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship on the May 10, 2022 episode of NXT before Rose defeated Choo at NXT In Your House 2022. Also, at NXT In Your House, Dolin and Jayne defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter to retain the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship. Following her victory in the 2022 NXT Women's Breakout Tournament, Roxanne Perez declared she would use her contract to partner with Cora Jade in a match with Dolin and Jayne for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship. After defeating Katana Chance and Kayden Carter in a number one contender match, Perez and Jade won the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship from Toxic Attraction at NXT: The Great American Bash 2022. The following week, Rose successfully retained her NXT Women's Championship against Women's Breakout Tournament winner, Roxanne Perez, following interference from Cora Jade.

On the August 2 episode of NXT, Dolin and Jayne competed in a Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match in an effort to win the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship for a third time, but were unsuccessful. Dolin and Jayne made their main roster debut on the August 19 episode of SmackDown, defeating Natalya and Sonya Deville in the first round of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Tournament. However, due to Dolin suffering an injury, Dolin and Jacy would not advance to the next round. At Worlds Collide, Rose defeated Meiko Satomura and Blair Davenport in a Triple Threat Match to unify the NXT UK Women's Championship with the NXT Women's Championship. Rose would go on to begin a feud with Alba Fyre, defeating Fyre at Halloween Havoc thanks to help from Dolin and Jayne. On the November 15 episode of NXT, Rose faced Fyre in a Last Woman Standing Match. Rose would emerge victorious after interference from a debuting Isla Dawn. Rose's NXT Women's Championship reign was ended at 413 days on the December 13 episode of NXT after she was defeated by Roxanne Perez, who won the inaugural Women's Iron Survivor Challenge at Deadline to earn a championship match. The next day, Rose was released from WWE.
