D'Angelo made his NXT debut on the October 5, 2021 episode of NXT, where he defeated Malik Blade. At NXT WarGames 2021 D'Angelo teamed with Carmelo Hayes, Bron Breakker and Grayson Waller to defeat Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, LA Knight and Pete Dunne in a WarGames match. D'Angelo then feuded with Dunne where D'Angelo defeated Dunne in a Crowbar on a Pole match on the January 11, 2022 episode of NXT, but lost to him in a Weaponized Steel Cage match at NXT Vengeance Day 2022. At NXT Stand & Deliver 2022, D'Angelo defeated Ciampa in the latter's final NXT match. On the April 26, 2022 episode of NXT, D'Angelo introduced his associates, Channing Lorenzo and Troy Donovan. He then feuded with Legado Del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde), leading to a six-man tag team match at NXT In Your House 2022 where The D'Angelo Family (D'Angelo, Lorenzo, and Donovan) defeated Legado Del Fantasma, causing the losing team (Legado Del Fantasma) to join The D'Angelo Family's stable. The feud ended at NXT Heat Wave 2022, where D'Angelo defeated Escobar in which Escobar had agreed to leave NXT if he lost. On the September 27, 2022 episode of NXT, D'Angelo lost to Wes Lee via referee stoppage after he injured his knee. He faced Lee for the NXT North American Championship on the December 27, 2022 episode of NXT in a losing effort.
