Tokyo Pro Wrestling was a professional wrestling promotion and dojo based out of Tokyo, Japan.

History[]

Version I[]

The original Tokyo Pro Wrestling was founded by Toyonobori in 1996. The company featured Johnny Valentine, Rusher Kimura, Haruka Eigen and a young Antonio Inoki. The company folded in 1967 and the owners founded International Wrestling Enterprise.

Version II[]

The new version was founded and operated by former All Japan Pro Wrestling and Super World of Sports wrestler Takashi Ishikawa.

The company featured future WWE superstar Edge and former WWE superstar Bad News Brown along with Sabu, Abdullah the Butcher, The Great Kabuki, Masanobu Kurisu, Eddie Jackie, Tom Howard, Mark Starr, Shocker, Yoji Anjo,Apollo Sugawara, Jerry Flynn, Mr. Pogo, a host of Japanese indie wrestlers and Tokyo Pro Dojo star pupil Shigeo Okumura, who moved on to All Japan Pro Wrestling upon the closure of the company.
