The Rottweilers

The Rottweilers was a professional wrestling stable in the independent promotion Ring of Honor. The group first formed in 2003 during Homicide’s feud with Steve Corino, with members including Homicide’s manager, Julius Smokes, Grim Reefer, Bison, Benny Blanco and Slugger. However, the original Rottweilers reign was short-lived and seldom remembered, and most of the members left the promotion after they were quietly disbanded. The second, and most known, version of The Rottweilers was formed after Homicide failed to win the ROH World Championship from Samoa Joe at Reborn: Stage One on April 23, 2004. Homicide and Julius Smokes were joined by Ricky Reyes and Rocky Romero, collectively known at The Havana Pitbulls, and later Homicide close friend, Low Ki.

Romero would quietly leave ROH in 2005, while Low Ki left after a dispute with management in early 2006, and Reyes appearing less and less throughout the year. Romero returned to ROH in January 2007, but walked out on Ricky Reyes and The Rottweilers in his second match back at Battle of the Icons. With Romero out of The Rottweilers, and Reyes leaving the promotion following the match, The Rottwielers was unofficially disbanded. A few months later, Homicide and Julius Smokes would also leave Ring of Honor. During their three year run, Reyes and Romero won the ROH Tag Team Championship, and, along with Homicide, the first Trios Tournament in 2005. Homicide would later go on to achieve his “destiny” and win the ROH World Championship.
