The Brawling Brutes were a professional wrestling stable in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) composed of Sheamus, Ridge Holland & Butch on the SmackDown brand.
History[]
Upon his arrival on the SmackDown brand, Ridge Holland was eager to meet his idol Sheamus, with the two quickly joining forces. However, Holland was defeated in his SmackDown debut by Cesaro, leading to a feud between the pair and Cesaro, with Ricochet becoming involved. At Day 1, Holland & Sheamus defeated Cesaro & Ricochet, but Holland would suffer a broken nose during the match. Sheamus continued to battle Ricochet before Holland returned on January 28, 2022, donning a mask to protect his nose, and securing a win over Cesaro & Ricochet alongside Sheamus. Both men competed in the 2022 Royal Rumble Match, failing to win.
Following the Royal Rumble, Holland & Sheamus defeated The New Day (Big E & Kofi Kingston) on the March 11, 2022 SmackDown results, with Butch making his SmackDown debut, dressed similarly to his allies and acting aggressively, attacking The New Day after the match. Holland faced Kingston and other New Day member King Woods in the following weeks, coming out with a win and a loss. Holland & Sheamus defeated Kingston & Woods at WrestleMania 38, before Butch suffered a loss to Woods on the April 8, 2022 episode of SmackDown. Following his loss, Butch was furious and attacked Holland and Sheamus, who were able to restrain him. In the following weeks, Holland and Sheamus would continue to lose Butch as he continued to become more aggressive.
