Team Taz was a professional wrestling stable in All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
History[]
All Elite Wrestling (2020–2022)[]
Team Taz was formed on the July 21, 2020 episode of Dark, when, after hints from Taz on commentary, Brian Cage and Ricky Starks both attacked Darby Allin. The group expanded to include Powerhouse Hobbs on the November 18, 2020 episode of Dynamite after Hobbs helped Cage and Starks continue an attack on Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin. Team Taz would continue their feud with Darby Allin, who would join forces with Sting before it was announced that Cage & Starks would face Allin & Sting at Revolution 2021 in a Street Fight, a match that Team Taz were defeated in.
Following Revolution 2021, tensions would rise between Brian Cage and the rest of Team Taz after Cage showed respect for Sting. At Fyter Fest Night 1, Ricky Starks defeated Brian Cage to win the FTW World Heavyweight Championship, which was re-introduced in AEW by Taz and awarded to Cage at Fyter Fest 2020, after Hobbs hit Cage with the championship. As a result, Cage was removed from Team Taz. Taz's group would add another member on the November 24, 2021 episode of Dynamite after Dante Martin signed a contract to join Team Taz despite protest from Lio Rush following an offer from Taz. However, Dante's membership was short lived after he betrayed teammate Ricky Starks on the December 8, 2021 episode of Dynamite to co-win the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal.
On the December 10, 2021 episode of Rampage, Taz's son, Hook, who had joined the group in December of 2020, made his debut, defeating Fuego Del Sol.
