SummerSlam 2004 was the seventeenth annual SummerSlam pay-per-viewevent produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It took place on August 15, 2004 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario and featured talent from the Raw and SmackDown!. The official theme song was "Summertime Blues" by Rush and the official tagline was "Let the Games Begin."

  • Till Death Do Us Part Lita Marries The Winner Match: Kane defeats Matt Hardy (6:05)
    • Kane pins Hardy after chokeslamming him from the top rope and wins the rights to marry Lita
  • Best of Five Series Non-Title Match" John Cena defeats Booker T (6:20)
    • Cena pinned Booker T after hitting the FU
  • Singles Match: Triple H with Ric Flair defeated Eugene (14:07)
    • Eugene got distracted when William Regal came down to the ring and hit Flair with brass knuckles.
    • Triple H pinned Eugene after hitting a Pedigree.
  • Diva Dodgeball: The Raw DivaSearch contestants defeated the Raw Divas
  • WWE Heavyweight Title Match: John Bradshaw Layfield with Orlando Jordan defeated The Undertaker via DQ (17:38)
    • The Undertaker used the WWE title belt as a weapon against JBL and got himself disqualified.
    • After the match, The Undertaker chokeslammed a bloodied JBL through the roof of his white stretch limousine.
    • The Undertaker took some of JBL's blood and smeared it over his chest.
    • Some EMT's took JBL away as the crowd sang "Nah Nah Nah, Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye".
  • World Heavyweight Title Match: Randy Orton defeated Chris Benoit to win the WWE Championship (20:09)
    • Randy Orton pinned Benoit after hitting the RKO.
    • Orton became the youngest ever World Heavyweight Champion.
