Saturday Night's Main Event XXVII was a Television show produced by the World Wrestling Federation. It took place on July 16, 1990 at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska.

- Demolition (Smash and Crush) (c) (with Ax) defeated The Rockers (Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty) for the WWF Tag Team Championship
- Mr. Perfect (c) defeated Tito Santana for the WWF Intercontinental Championship
- The Texas Tornado defeated Buddy Rose
- Also: Hulk Hogan made his return after getting (kayfabe) injured by Earthquake on the May 26, 1990 episode of Superstars. Hogan then challenged Earthquake to a match at SummerSlam.
- Note: Later in the telecast, it was announced that The Ultimate Warrior and Rick Rude would have another rematch for the WWF title at SummerSlam, only in a Steel cage match.
