Rules and Blocking Policy
- Do not harass other users: If somebody asks you to stop posting certain content on their wall/talk page, respect their wishes. It is their wall/talk page. Do not insult other users like calling them names or calling them "stupid", "dumb" or anything like that.
- Adding multiple accounts to evade a block, known as sockpuppets, will result in further blocks. Telling others to edit on the wiki for you or message someone on the wiki for you or post in discussions for you, known as meatpuppets, will result in further blocks.
- Do not engage in excessive self-promotion: The wiki is a collaborative community resource for the topic at hand. It is NOT a free place to advertise your related website, YouTube channel, blog, social media account, etc. Have a question about whether your link would be welcome? Ask an administrator!
- Do not post spoilers unless you have consulted with an administrator.
- An administrator might message you regarding wiki guidelines for formatting: when a wiki has established formatting, it's important to adhere to that. So do follow wiki formatting when asked to do so by an administrator. Some examples below:
- The Template:height & weight on a Infobox is not yet setup, so please refrain from using it or copying it in a box from Wikipedia.
- Try to keep all pages the same as the rest.
- Don't forget to put a Category on all new pages that are created.
- Put the tabs on all Wrestlers pages, there are different tabs for different pages.
- Copying and pasting info from Wikipedia is not allowed. If everything here is from Wikipedia then this Wiki is just a clone of Wikipedia. If that is the case than why have this Wiki at all.
- Removing content from pages, especially large amounts of factual content, without consulting an administrator first will result in a block.
- Make sure all the wrestlers have both their height in ft and m; and their weight in lbs/kg.
- The Date of Birth & Date of Death is now set up to use on wrestlers pages. See Template:Birth date and age for more information.
- Please do not add random categories to pages. Please check with the Admins before you make a new Category that does not exist!
- If you upload a new image, make sure you add the image to the correct page and with the correct name, DO not just call it 1234jbjdkbhkdjh for example. John Cena.1 ect but check the name is not already in use on the site before you upload the image.
- ANYONE who moves a page without asking an administrator first will be blocked without question. This is due to any moving of pages causes many errors on pages which the Admins have to take time out to correct.
- We are now putting categories on ALL images that are uploaded. Please see other images for category's needed for the type of image you are uploading or ask an admin. Examples of some common categories used on this wiki:
- For an image uploaded of a professional wrestler the category is Wrestlers profile images
- For an image uploaded of a championship the category is Championship images
- For an image uploaded of a promotion's logo the category is Promotion logos
- For an image uploaded of an event poster the category is Event poster images
- For an image uploaded of an event the category is Event images
- Please do not use wysiswyg editor to edit as it messes with page formats.
- Please use linking. If you need help with how to do linking let an administrator know. Some linking is easy, Hulk Hogan would be [[Hulk Hogan]] while others like moves take a little extra: German Suplex would be [[Suplex#German suplex|German Suplex]]
- When making an edit, especially changing existing information on a page, please leave a source/reference in your edit summary.
- Any deviation or breaking of these rules will result in a block.
Path to Adminship
At the present time, the wiki currently has enough admins. However, in the future admins will be considered based on the consistency and quality of their editing. the existing admins will discuss specific users based on their quality of edits, consistency of edit, and working with the existing admins.
Things that make quality editors who will be considered for administrator:
- Proper naming of files and pages (see above section in rules)
- Working on priority content pages such as events
- Proper formatting (see above section in rules)
- A strong understanding of pro wrestling. You don't have to know everything but someone who knows nothing will not be considered.
Things that will remove you from consideration for administrator:
- Having been blocked from the wiki multiple times, especially for vandalism or violations of Fandom's Terms of Use.
