Carla Gonzalez (November 5, 2001) is an American female professional wrestler currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on the NXT brand under the ring name Roxanne Perez. She previously worked under the ring name Rok-C and is a former ROH Women's World Champion and ROW Diamonds Division Champion.
Career
Early career (2018)
Gonzalez began her pro wrestling training at age 13, eventually training under the tutelage of WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. Her debut was made in December 2018 under the ring name Rok-C.
Reality of Wrestling (2019-2022)
Rok-C made her Reality of Wrestling (ROW) debut on January 19, 2019 winning her first singles match defeating Lynnette Laso. She wrestled her first title match at Ladies Night Out 5 against the Diamonds Division Champion Hyan. Despite an unsuccessful challenge, she remained involved in the Diamonds Division title picture throughout the course of her debut year.
During the February 8, 2020 episode of ROW, Rok-C won the Diamonds Division title from Hyan in a singles challenge. Rok-C also had a title match at Ladies Night Out 9 where she challenged Heather Monroe for her Hurricane Pro Women's Championship. She did not succeed in winning the title as her victory was via disqualification. Rok-C retained the Diamonds Division Champion until December 19, losing the title in a triple threat match involving Promise Braxton and Hyan.
Between July and August 2021, Rok-C wrestled on two separate occasions for the Diamonds Division title including a three-way match during the annual Summer Of Champions against opponents Raychell Rose and Promise Braxton.
Ring of Honor (2021)
Rok-C debuted on the April 28, 2021 episode of ROH Women's Division Wednesday, teaming with Max The Impaler in a tag match against Hyan & Laynie Luck that ended in a time limit draw. On the July 30 episode of ROH, Rok-C competed in the opening round of the ROH Women's World Championship tournament, eliminating Sumie Sakai. The tournament quarter final was held on the August 20 episode of ROH during which she eliminated Quinn McKay. She made her pay-per-view debut on August 21 at Glory By Honor teaming with Miranda Alize in a successful tag match defeating Chelsea Green & Willow Nightingale. On the September 3 episode of ROH, Rok-C advanced in the semi-final after eliminating Angelina Love. She made her second pay-per-view appearance at Death Before Dishonor where she eliminated Miranda Alize to become the new ROH Women's World Champion. She made her first title defense during the November 26 episode of ROH, defeating Gia Scott. At Final Battle 2021, Rok-C successfully retained her title against Willow. Following the match, Rok-C was confronted by AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Deonna Purrazzo, who challenged her to a Winner Takes All Match at an Impact Wrestling event. The match took place on the January 13, 2022 episode of iMPACT!, with Purrazzo emerging victorious, ending Rok-C's ROH Women's World Championship reign.
World Wrestling Entertainment (2022-present)
NXT (2022-present)
On March 17, 2022, it was confirmed that Gonzalez had signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on their NXT brand. Gonzalez debuted on the April 15 episode of NXT Level Up under the new name Roxanne Perez, defeating Sloane Jacobs. Perez made her NXT debut on April 19, scoring a win over Jacy Jayne. The following week, Perez was defeated by Mandy Rose. On the May 10 episode of NXT, Perez partnered with Wendy Choo in a losing effort against NXT Women's Tag Team Champions Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne). Perez would compete in the 2022 NXT Women's Breakout Tournament, defeating Tiffany Stratton in the final, earning a championship match of her choosing. On the June 28 episode of NXT, Perez and Cora Jade defeated Katana Chance and Kayden Carter to become the number one contenders for the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship. At The Great American Bash, Perez and Jade defeated Toxic Attraction, winning the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship. Perez cashed in her guaranteed championship opportunity the next week in order to face NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose. However, Jade would cost Perez the match. The following week, Jade threw her NXT Women's Tag Team Championship belt into a bin and as a result, WWE recognised Perez as holding the championship by herself. Perez vacated the championship the next week.
At Heat Wave, Jade defeated Perez after Jade took advantage of Perez's reluctance to hit her with a kendo stick. On the October 4 episode of NXT, it was revealed Jade and Perez would face off again, this time in a Weapons Wild Match at Halloween Havoc. The pair also agreed to have Pick Your Poison Matches. Perez made her main roster debut on the October 14 episode of SmackDown, selecting Raquel Gonzalez as Jade's opponent. Later that night, Perez partnered with Gonzalez and Shotzi in a losing effort against Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY). On the NXT before Halloween Havoc, Rhea Ripley, who Jade had selected, defeated Perez. At Halloween Havoc, Perez defeated Jade in a Weapons Wild Match.
At Deadline, Perez won the first ever Women's Iron Survivor Challenge, becoming the number one contender to NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose. On the NXT following Deadline, Perez defeated Mandy Rose to capture the NXT Women's Championship, her first singles title in WWE.
