The Roseland Theater, formerly the Starry Night nightclub and is sometimes referred to as the Roseland Theater and Grill is a music venue located in Portland, Oregon. The building was originally used as a church by the Apostolic Faith Church in 1922. In 1982, Larry Hurwitz bought the building and converted it into the Starry Night nightclub. In 1991, Larry Hurwitz sold the venue to Oregon Theater Management after he had been involved in a counterfeit ticket scam. In 2023, Hurwitz pleaded guilty to murdering one of his employees, a 21-year old publicity agent named Timothy Moreau with the help of another employee named George Castagnola in 1990 after a John Lee Hooker concert. After the theater was acquired by Oregon Theater Management, the name of the venue was changed to Roseland Theater in order to distance the venue from Hurwitz's reputation. Double Tee Promotions would later take over operations of the venue after Larry Hurwitz sold the venue and eventually would purchase the venue from Oregon Theater Management in 1996.
