Rick Cornell is a former American professional wrestler better known by his ring name Reno, who worked for World Championship Wrestling.

Career

Rick Cornell started his career as a kickboxer after a high school wrestling career. He eventually decided to become a pro wrestler and enrolled at the WCW Power Plant where he was trained by Paul Orndorff.

He first appeared on WCW Saturday Night in 1999 under his real name but was soon renamed Reno and put in the Natural Born Thrillers with Shawn Stasiak, Mark Jindrak, Chuck Palumbo, Johnny the Bull, Sean O'Haire and Mike Sanders. They briefly had Kevin Nash as their coach until they turned on him.

Cornell had a brief feud with Big Vito while he was apparently dating Vito's sister Marie. In an angle twist, Reno revealed in an interview that Maria was his sister as well, making he and Vito brothers. Eventually the two became a team until Reno eventually turned on Vito.

When WCW was sold to Vince McMahon in 2001, Cornell was sent to Heartland Wrestling Association and he wrestled in 2002 for World Wrestling All-Stars after being let go by World Wrestling Entertainment. He retired from wrestling in 2002.
