The ROH World Television Championship is a championship featured in the United States based promotion, Ring of Honor. The championhip serves as ROH's mid-card title. It's inaugural champion, Eddie Edwards, was crowned on March 5, 2010 where he defeated fellow American Wolves member Davey Richards.

History

A year after the debut of ROH on HDNet, Ring of Honor announced the creation of the ROH World Television Championship, the first official ROH secondary singles title since the ROH Pure Championship was unified with the ROH World Championship in 2006. An eight man tournament to crown the first champion was to be held on back-to-back nights on February 5 and 6, 2010. However, a sever blizzard forced Ring of Honor to cancel the second night of the tapings, postponing the semifinals and finals of the tournament until the next set of tapings the following month on March 5, 2010.

The eight men involved in the tournament were Kevin Steen, Kenny King, Colt Cabana, Davey Richards, Delirious, Eddie Edwards, El Generico and Rhett Titus. Edwards would defeat Cabana in the opening round, Steen in the semifinals and Richards, his tag team partner in The American Wolves, in the finals of the tournament to become the inaugural champion.
