Gut Check was a wrestling event promoted by Ring of Honor. It took place on August 26, 2006 at the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge, Illinois. The shows main event featured Colt Cabana receiving his final shot at the ROH World Championship for as long as Bryan Danielson held it, competing in a Two out of Three Falls match.

- Austin Aries & Roderick Strong defeated Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal to retain the ROH World Tag Team Championship
- Bryan Danielson vs. Colt Cabana end in a 60-minute time-limit draw in a Two out of Three Falls match for the ROH World Championship
- Cabana defeated Danielson after a Colt 45 to win the first fall five minutes into the match. Five minutes later, Danielson suffered three torn tendons and a separated shoulder after falling through the ropes to the floor.
- Danielson defeated Cabana after a low blow with less than thirty seconds left in the time limit.
