History[]
- The company was founded by Mike Graham and Steve Keirn as Florida Championship Wrestling, February 1988 in the wake of Jim Crockett's purchase of Championship Wrestling from Florida.
- Florida Championship Wrestling became Professional Wrestling Federation to coincide with the arrival of Dusty Rhodes to the promotion.
- The company ran it's first live event April 26, 1988.
- The company ran shows in Florida and the Bahamas.
- Notable names to wrestle for PWF: Dusty Rhodes, Terry Funk, Dan Spivey, Al Perez, Nasty Boys, Scotty The Body, The Fantastics, Manny Fernandez, Junkyard Dog, Wendi Richter, Larry Zbyszko, Dick Slater and Mike Awesome.
