Disambiguation in the Pro Wrestling Wikia is the process of resolving conflicts in article titles that occur when a single term can be associated with more than one topic, making that term likely to be the natural choice of title for more than one article. In other words, disambiguations are paths leading to the different article pages that could use essentially the same term as their title.
In Pro Wrestling, this commonly occurs with wrestlers who use the same ring name.
Example
ECW can refer to:
- Extreme Championship Wrestling, the independent promotion that operated from 1992-2001
- Extreme Championship Wrestling (WWE), the World Wrestling Entertainment brand that existed from 2006-2010
Usage
Place the template {{Disambig}}
at the bottom of articles which exist to help readers find other articles with similar names (or which perhaps could have the same name). This will also put such a "disambiguation article" into the Category:Disambiguation automatically.
