Over the Edge was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced every May by the American professional wrestling promotion the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). The event was created in 1998, with its inaugural event produced as a In Your House event in May of that year. The event was retired the following year after Owen Hart, a performer for WWF, died during the event of that year when he fell to his death during his ring entrance.
Since the event's inception, it was held only in one country, the United States. It was held in two U.S. states, where every event was held in an indoor arena. Each event featured talent from WWF competing in various professional wrestling match types.
