The October 26, 2021 of NXT was a Professional wrestling television show of the WWE which took place at the Capitol Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This was a NXT: Halloween Havoc special.

Background[]

Halloween Havoc is a professional wrestling event produced by WWE. As the name implies, it is a Halloween-themed show held in October. It was originally produced as an annual pay-per-view (PPV) by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1989 until 2000 as WWE—at that time still known as the World Wrestling Federation—purchased WCW in 2001. The 2000 event was the final Halloween Havoc until WWE revived the show for their NXT brand division in 2020. On October 5, 2021, episode of NXT 2.0, it was announced by Tommaso Ciampa that Halloween Havoc would be making its return to NXT.

Storylines[]

NXT: Halloween Havoc featured professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portrayed heroes, villains, or less distinguishable characters in scripted events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.

On the September 14 episode of NXT 2.0, Bron Breakker made his debut and defeat LA Knight. Later on the same night, Tommaso Ciampa captured the vacant NXT Championship by defeating Pete Dunne, Knight and Von Wagner in a Fatal four-way match. On the October 5 episode of NXT 2.0, Breakker challenged Ciampa to a match for the championship at Halloween Havoc, which Ciampa accepted.

Ever since Mandy Rose returned to NXT with her new look and a new attitude, she has had her eyes set on one thing: Raquel Gonzalez’s NXT Women's Championship.

God’s Greatest Creation made her intentions known with a brutal attack following Gonzalez’s title defense against Franky Monet, as Toxic Attraction laid waste to both challenger and champion.

After dodging another 3-on-1 attack thanks to the help of Io Shirai & Zoey Stark, Big Mami Cool gave Rose the opportunity she so desperately wanted at Halloween Havoc, but to do so she must Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal.

What will the wheel have in store for Gonzalez and Rose and how will it change the landscape of the NXT Women’s Championship match? Can the leader of Toxic Attraction make good on her threat to take over NXT or will Gonzalez show once again why she has dominated the division for nearly a year?

Io Shirai & Zoey Stark will have their hands full at Halloween Havoc. The NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions face a challenge from Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne and the newly-formed duo of Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta.

Shirai & Stark successfully defended their titles once already against Dolin & Jayne in a high-flying and hard-nosed affair. Toxic Attraction were far from done with the champs and made their golden intentions known.

After best friends Hartwell & Pirotta joined forces for a huge victory in their first ever tag team match, they sent out a title challenge that was answered by both the tag team champions and Toxic Attraction, resulting in an all-out brawl and the Triple Threat showdown.
