The OVW Southern Tag Team Championship is the tag team championship of Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). Created in 1997, the first champions were Flash Flanagan and Nick Dinsmore.
The championship is a spiritual successor of the various NWA and AWA versions of the Southern Tag Team Championship that have been defended in OVW's home base of Louisville, Kentucky since the 1970s. The design of the the physical title belts follow the same template that was frequently used for NWA championship belts during that era.
