Northeast Championship Wrestling (NCW) is an American wrestling promotion.
About[]
Founded in 1997 as an after-school program for a group of high school freshmen, Northeast Championship Wrestling quickly evolved into a unique alternative for fans of independent wrestling. In 2000 NCW temporarily became a developmental company for students of the Damned Training Academy led by head trainers “Mad Dog” Matt Storm and Vin “Draven” Ratte, who had trained many of the NCW originals such as “Revolution” Chris Venom, Triplelicious, Tim Kilgore, the Elements of Suicide (Cinna & Onyx), & “The Portuguese Sensation” Ruy Batello.
After taking a two-year sabbatical from promoting events in 2002, Northeast Championship Wrestling returned in 2005 bringing NCW's brand of entertainment all throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Since NCW has partnered with the YMCA, the Boys & Girls Club, Windham Youth Cheerleading & Football, Relay for Life, and the Brockton Junior Boxers Pop Warner organization to help provide benefit events and fundraisers to the various communities in the area.
Starting in 2007 NCW began running events in a seasonal format, maximizing the potential of building stories and characters, while culminating with our final event of the year– WrestleFest. NCW presents a unique night of entertainment for fans wherever we go, bringing forth our larger than life characters, dynamic story lines, and incredible athleticism all while providing a unique experience for fans of all ages.
