Background[]
On the September 5, 2023 episode of Powerrr, it was announced that the NWA would hold NWA Samhain on October 28 at TempleLive at Cleveland Masonic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Storylines[]
On the September 12 episode of Powerrr, Homicide and Joe Alonzo faced Koa Laxamana and NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Colby Corino. Despite Alonzo and Corino both being clients of Jamie Stanley, Stanley interfered in support of Alonzo, helping his team pick up the victory. As a result, Corino defended his championship against Alonzo in a Pillar To Post Match at Samhain.
On the October 3 episode of Powerrr, Natalia Markova and Taylor Rising defeated M95 (Madi and Missa Kate) to become the number one contenders for the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship. It was announced that they would challenge champions Pretty Empowered (Ella Envy and Kylie Paige) at Samhain.
On the October 17 episode of Powerrr, Chris Adonis defeated Zyon via disqualification. As a result, he earned a Burning Lake Brawl Match against NWA National Heavyweight Champion Silas Mason at Samhain.
On the September 19 episode of Powerrr, Ruthie Jay defeated Missa Kate and Natalia Markova, earning a match against NWA World Women's Champion Kenzie Paige at Samhain.
At NWA 75 Night 2 on August 27, Blunt Force Trauma (Carnage and Damage) defeated Mike Knox and Trevor Murdoch to retain the NWA World Tag Team Championship, thanks to interference from Aron Stevens, Blunt Force Trauma's manager. A rematch took place on the September 26 episode of Powerrr, however, Knox and Murdoch lost by disqualification after Knox took a chair from Damage, but a distraction from Stevens meant the referee only saw Knox holding the chair. The following week, Knox and Murdoch conftroned Stevens, declaring they wanted another title shot. Stevens granted them the championship match, announcing it would take place at Samhain in a Knights of the Round Table Match, a table match using round tables instead of rectangular tables.
On the September 5 episode of Powerrr, NWA World Heavyweight Champion EC3 challenged Thom Latimer to relinquish his NWA World Television Championship in order to face him for the world title. The following week, Latimer, and his wife Kamille, confronted EC3, with Latimer officially taking up EC3 on his challenge. It was subsequently announced that EC3 would defend his NWA World Heavyweight Championship against Latimer at Samhain. On the October 17 episode of Powerrr, EC3 relived his history with Latimer. EC3 would bring up Kamille's No Limits Match at NWA 75, challenging Latimer to the same stipulation at Samhain, which was made official.
