NWA Powerrr is a weekly program that features the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). It premiered on October 8, 2019. Episodes of Powerrr currently premiere on Tuesdays on FITE TV. A replay of each episode is added to the NWA's YouTube channel on Fridays.
History[]
On May 1, 2017, Billy Corgan purchased the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). In September 2019, the NWA announced that they would be holding tapings for a new programme titled NWA Powerrr. The tapings were held on September 30 and October 1 at the GPB Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. The programme debuted on the NWA's YouTube channel on October 8, with Joe Galli and Jim Cornette as the inaugural commentary team. However, Cornette would resign following controversial remarks he made on the November 19 episode of Powerrr. Following the May 12, 2020 episode of Powerrr, the NWA would begin a hiatus due to COVID-19. Powerrr returned in March 2021 following a distribution agreement with FITE TV. On April 13, Powerrr Surge debuted, a companion series that included additional matches, interviews, and recaps. On January 5, 2022, the NWA revealed Powerrr would be returning to YouTube, with a replay of the Tuesday premiere being added on Fridays.
In 2024, Powerrr began airing on The CW app with new episodes every Tuesday night until September 24, 2024 when it was moved to Twitter/X on October 1, 2024.
