The NRG Arena, formerly the "Reliant Arena" and the Astroarena, is a 350,000 square feet (33,000 m²) sports center located in NRG Park, in Houston, Texas. The NRG Arena was part of the Astrohall which was used for many events including trade shows, concerts, and conventions. It is one of the state's major arenas and convention centers. The NRG Arena became the home of the Women's National Basketball Association's Houston Comets for what proved to be their final season. The team folded after failing to secure new ownership. The arena and Astrohall also hosted WWE's 2001 edition of the WrestleMania Axxess fan convention as part of WrestleMania X-Seven weekend.
