NO FEAR was a professional wrestling tag team known mostly in Japan. It consisted of Takao Ōmori and Yoshihiro Takayama.
History[]
All Japan Pro-Wrestling (1998-2000)[]
NO FEAR first formed when both Omori and Takayama were members of Gary Albright's Triangle of Power stable. After Albright left All Japan Pro Wrestling, they stuck out on their own and won their first tag team gold, capturing the AJPW All Asia Tag Team Championship from Jinsei Shinzaki and Hayabusa. The next month, they defeated Johnny Ace and Bart Gunn to win the AJPW Unified World Tag Team Championship and effectively dominate the division.
When Mitsuharu Misawa left AJPW to form Pro Wrestling NOAH, NO FEAR followed him.
Pro Wrestling NOAH (2000-2002)[]
Pro Wrestling NOAH (NOAH) were slow to start a tag division, so Omori and Takayama wrestled in singles or multi-person matches. Within months of it starting, NO FEAR captured the GHC Tag Team Championship by defeated Misawa and Yoshinari Ogawa to hold the titles. The team finally broke up in May 2002 when both members of the team left NOAH.
Reunions and final end[]
NO FEAR would reunite every couple of years for big events for AJPW and NOAH. After Takayama's paralyzing spinal cord injury, there is no chance of any more matches.
