NJPW World League 1976
Overview
The NJPW World League 1976 was a professional wrestling tournament produced by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) that took place from April 2 to May 11, 1976 . It was the third edition of what is currently known as the G1 Climax .
Tournament Summary [ ] Fourteen wrestlers entered the tournament, competing in a round robin block. The winner of the block automatically advanced to the final, while the second to fourth places advanced to a round robin semifinal block. Pedro Morales finished first in the first round block to advance to the final, while Seiji Sakaguchi finished first in the semifinal block to also advance to the final, where Sakaguchi defeated Morales by count out to win the tournament.
