The NJPW MSG League 1981 was a professional wrestling tournament produced by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) that took place from May 8 to June 4, 1979. It was the eighth edition of what is currently known as the G1 Climax, and the fourth edition to be named the MSG League.

Eleven wrestlers entered the tournament, competing in a round robin block. The winner of the block faced the second placed wrestler in the final, where Antonio Inoki defeated Stan Hansen by count out to win the tournament.
