Movistar Arena, formerly Metropolitan Indoor Stadium and Arena Santiago is a 17,000-seat arena located in Santiago, Chile. Opened in 2006, the arena was originally designed in 1956 to host the World Basketball Championship, however, funding was redirected to renovating Estadio Nacional de Chile to host the 1962 FIFA World Cup.
