After partnering together since 2015, along with competing as British Strong Style with Pete Dunne, Moustache Mountain was disbanded on June 16, 2022, following Seven turning on Bate due to the pair losing the NXT UK Tag Team Championship two weeks before.

History[]

Formation and CHIKARA (2015-2017)[]

Trent Seven and Tyler Bate, known as Moustache Mountain, first teamed up together on February 6, 2015 at a Fight Club: PRO (FCP) event, defeating KYS (Damian Dunne & Pete Dunne). Moustache Mountain would participate in CHIKARA's three day tour of FCP in April, defeating The Hunter Brothers (Jim Hunter & Lee Hunter) on night one before losing to The Devastation Corporation (Blaster McMassive & Max Smashmaster) on night two. On the final night, Moustache Mountain joined forces with Clint Margera to take on Jimmy Havoc, Damian Dunne & Pete Dunne in a No Disqualification Match, however, Moustache Mountain & Margera were defeated. Moustache Mountain participated in CHIKARA's 2015 King of Trios tournament, partnering with Dan Moloney to represent Fight Club: PRO. The trio were able to make their way to the semi-final but were eliminated by the BULLET CLUB trio of AJ Styles, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson.

Seven & Bate would continue making appearances for CHIKARA throughout 2016 before winning the CHIKARA Campeonatos de Parejas at No One's First, And You're Next. Moustache Mountain once again participated in the King of Trio's tournament, partnering with Dasher Hatfield as the Major League Moustache, however, the trio were eliminated in the quarter-final. In December, Moustache Mountain were stripped of the Campeonatos de Parejas, with Moustache Mountain not making another appearance for CHIKARA until September 2017, when they won the 2017 King of Trio's tournament with Pete Dunne.

PROGRESS (2016-2019)[]

Moustache Mountain made their debut for PROGRESS Wrestling at Chapter 28, suffering a loss to Damian Dunne & Pete Dunne. At Chapter 33, Moustache Mountain once again faced Damian Dunne & Pete Dunne, however, Seven would turn on Bate while Dunne would turn on Damian, before Seven and Dunne shook hands and left to the back. Dunne & Seven dubbed their new alliance British Strong Style, defeating Bate & Damian Dunne at Chapter 35. Bate would join British Strong Style at Chapter 39, helping Pete Dunne to win the PROGRESS World Championship. Dunne, now holding the PROGRESS World and Tag Team Championships, attempted to award Bate with his half of the tag team championship but was thwarted by PROGRESS management who instead vacated the titles. As a result, Bate & Seven would instead win the vacant championship in a Three Way Tag Team Championship at Chapter 41. The pair would hold the championship until Chapter 50, losing the title to CCK (Chris Brookes & Kid Lykos), however, British Strong Style won the title back the next month at Chapter 51 in a Six Man Tag Team Match between the two stables. At Chapter 55, CCK would win back the title from Bate & Seven in a Ladder Match to settle the score between the two teams.

Bate and Seven would have another opportunity to win the PROGRESS Tag Team Championship at Chapter 61 but were unsuccessful against the Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) and were again unsuccessful in defeating GYV at Chapter 66. Moustache Mountain made their final appearance for PROGRESS at Chapter 100 in a victory over Dan Moloney & Rampage Brown.
