Michael Hayes (June 29, 1986) is an American professional wrestler, best known for his work in Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Career[]

Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Michael Hayes always dreamt of being a pro wrestler growing up. But, after high school, with conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, Michael decided to halt his dreams and join the Army. He felt it was the right thing to do. In August 2006, while returning to camp while on mission in Ramadi, Iraq, Michael's HUMVEE was blown up in an Improvised Explosive Attack. Suffering severe burns, fractures, and a left leg amputation, Hayes was the only survivor. Being told he may never be able to walk again outside of his home, Michael underwent 18 grueling months of physical therapy before he returned home. To the doctors surprise not only was he mobile outside the confines of his home, he became almost fully active, even back to running and other sports. Riding the wave of motivation from conquering his injuries, Hayes decided to chase his dream as a pro wrestler when he moved home to Louisville.
