Melvin Maximus (April 27, 1978) is an American professional wrestler. He currently works for Ohio Valley Wrestling where he is a two-time OVW Television Champion and OVW Heavyweight Champion.


Early career (2013)

Maximus debuted on January 12, 2013 for GOUGE Wrestling where he competed for the GOUGE Person County Cup tournament where he and Tank Lawson were eliminated in the first round by The Krazy Killer Klowns (LoLo & PoPo). Maximus wrestled two shows in Destination One Wrestling beginning with D1W First Strike on February 2, 2013, where he and Gabriel Gray defeated Jonathan Crane & Nate Stone. His second D1W match was on March 6 at D1W Extreme Destinations where he defeated Red Dragon.

Ohio Valley Wrestling (2013-2015)

Maximus made his debut on March 20 on OVW TV where he and The Bodyguy wrestled a tag team match won by Randy Royal & Tony Gunn. Throughout most of his debut year Maximus wrestled dark matches including singles and tag team matches. His final match of his debut year was on December 18 on OVW TV where he challenged for the OVW Women's Championship as "Melvina" against the title holder The Bodyguy, winning the match by disqualification.

Maximus won his first title on January 4, 2014 on OVW TV, defeating Paredyse to win the OVW Television Championship. He successfully retained the title until May 14 when he was defeated by Adam Revolver. Seven days later, he won the title back in a rematch on May 21. He lost the title again to Revolver on June 11. On August 2, Maximus won his second title when he defeated Marcus Anthony for the OVW Heavyweight Championship. On October 4, he lost the title to Cliff Compton in a triple threat match against Compton and Marcus Anthony.

On November 21, 2015 at OVW Brews & Bruises, Maximus defeated Jay Bradley.
