The May 14, 2014 Edition of Main Event is a Professional wrestling television show of the WWE, it was shown live on the WWE Network at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina on May 13, 2014.

A little more than a week after capturing the United States Championship in a 20-Man Battle Royal on Raw, Sheamus defended his U.S. Title against Cesaro. Despite a good fight from the "Paul Heyman Guy,” The Celtic Warrior managed to retain his title.

The night kicked off with Paul Heyman gloating about Brock Lesnar conquering The Undertaker's Streak. But as Heyman continued to brag, U.S. Champion Sheamus charged into the ring and threatened to kick Heyman's face in. Before Sheamus could follow through, Cesaro blasted him with a Neutralizer. Afterward, Heyman reminded The Celtic Warrior that he was up against a major threat in the King of Swing — winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30.

Both Dolph Ziggler and Damien Sandow looked to shine in the first match of the night. An aggressive Sandow had The Showoff reeling at the start, but Ziggler was able shift momentum in his favor. Although Sandow countered with a submission hold, Ziggler broke free and struck quickly with the Zig Zag for the win.

The Divas bout began with Alicia Fox attacking Emma before the opening bell. After the referee officially started the match, Fox continued to brutalize Emma. Despite the one-sided match, Emma was able to seize an opportunity to roll up Fox for the win. Afterward, Fox went ballistic as she did on Raw, this time attacking ring announcer Tony Chimel and commentators Byron Saxton and Tom Phillips.

Displaying the heart of champion, Sheamus came out hitting hard against Cesaro. As the brawl waged on, both Superstars matched each other's aggression. With the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats after a few near falls, Sheamus threw caution to the wind and leaped from the top turnbuckle onto Cesaro on the floor. Because the brawl continued despite the referee's ten count, the bout ended in a Double Count-Out. With officials trying to restore order, the Swiss Superman rammed Sheamus with a steel chair, but Sheamus countered with a Brogue Kick to get in the final blow on WWE Main Event on WWE Network.
