The Maxwell G. Snyder Armory is a readiness center that supports the training, administration, and logistics of National Guard units by providing assembly space, classrooms, weapons and protective personal equipment storage, and training space. As with most readiness centers it can also be utilized as communal assembly areas, utilized by local organizations and governments.

Located in Jacksonville, Florida the Maxwell Snyder Armory was designed by Wilbur B Talley. It was built in 1916 to house all troops in the area. It is the third armory for Jacksonville as the one constructed in 1897 burned during the Great Fire of 1901. The rebuilt building was abandoned when the new armory was built at the current site. The Jacksonville Recreation Department occupied by the building for several years before moving to a new site. The armory is currently listed as abandoned, but remains in use for various events.
