Mark Mercedes, an Australian Olympic trialist in freestyle wrestling, turned pro in 1992 and was trained in Davie, Florida by the Malenkos.
Mercedes wrestled for International Wrestling Australia, Australian Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling All-Stars, Catch Wrestling Association in Austria and Germany, Muga World Pro-Wrestling in Japan and World Championship Wrestling in America.
