The Lucha Libre World Cup was a professional wrestling tournament organized by Mexican professional wrestling promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) with the financial backing of the Grupo Modelo brewery, with Victoria Beer as the official sponsor. The tournament included a number of three-person tag teams, referred to as trios in Lucha Libre, teams and wrestling promotions announced are AAA, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), Lucha Underground and Pro Wrestling NOAH among others. The tournament was announced as "Lucha Libre Victoria World Cup".

Trofeo Victoria 2016

The Trofeo Victoria 2016 was disputed in a Battle Royal-style match between members of the men's teams who were eliminated on first round of tournament. The rules of the match were announced as an initial four-way match with one member of every team at start of the match. When a wrestler is eliminated, another member of his team will be added to the match. The match will continue until two wrestlers left, and those wrestlers will face off in a one fall match to determine the winner. Mil Muertes (Team Rest Of The World) defeated Tyrus (Team TNA) to win the match and the trophy.

Judging Panel

Judging panel was composed by Black Terry, Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000, Satánico, El Solar, Universo 2000, and Villano V. Judges evaluated all the matches and they gave awards to Dive Of The Night, Match Of The Night, Male Wrestler Of The Night, and Female Wrestler Of The Night.
