Lock Haven is the county seat of Clinton County, in Pennsylvania. The site of the city has been inhabited by people for centuries due to its location on the West Branch Susquehanna River and Bald Eagle Creek. It was established in 1833 as a logging and timber town. Modern days its economy is still tied to timber industry as well as aircraft design and production. However, due to frequent floods the city has slowly been dropping in population over the years.
