Kohei Fujimura (April 8, 1993) is a Japanese professional wrestler who is currently signed to Pro Wrestling NOAH (NOAH), where he is known under the ring name Alejandro.
Career[]
Wrestle-1 (2014-2017)[]
As a child, Fujimura admired Keiji Mutoh, eventually passing the introductory test as an adult to begin training at Mutoh's promotion Wrestle-1. Fujimura would begin training with Mutoh, however, due to a neck injury suffered in training, Fujimura was unable to make his debut in February, 2015. After recovering from the injury and restarting training in October, Fujimura would make his debut on March 20, 2016, at WRESTLE-1 Tour 2016 Trans Magic - Night 5, where he was defeated by Kumagoro. On October 2, Fujiwara would join NEWERA. In January, 2017, Fujimura competed in a tournament to crown the first Wrestle-1 Result Champion, but Fujimura was eliminated in the first round by Ganseki Tanaka.
On February 22, 2017, Fujimura partnered with NEWERA stablemates Daiki Inaba & Yusuke Kodama to win the UWA World Trios Championship from Manabu Soya, NOSAWA Rongai & Shuji Kondo. NEWERA would defend the championship once before losing it to TriggeR (Masayuki Kono & Shuji Kondo) and their partner Kaz Hayashi on April 9. Fujimura and his NEWERA stablemates attempted to win back the championship in May, but failed. In July, Fujimura was sent on excursion to Mexican promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group.
Excursion in Mexico (2017)[]
While wrestling in Mexico for the International Wrestling Revolution Group, Fujimura would don a mask and wrestle under the new name of Pantera del Japon. Fujimura wrestled in Mexico until November, before returning to Wrestle-1 in January, 2018.
Return to Wrestle-1 (2018-2020)[]
Fujimura would return to Wrestle-1 on January 14, 2018, retaining his mask and going by the name Alejandro, saving his old NEWERA stablemates from an attack by Enfants Terribles. In March, Alejandro would win the Wrestle-1 Cruiser Festival after defeating Andy Wu in the final. A month after winning the tournament, Alejandro would challenge Seiki Yoshioka for the Wrestle-1 Cruiserweight Championship, but failed to win. On the next day, April 19, NEWERA would officially disband. Alejandro would eventually partner with Andy Wu and El Hijo del Pantera in a failed attempt to win the UWA World Trios Championship on May 6, followed by another unsuccessful attempt on September 2.
Alejandro would compete in the 2019 Wrestle-1 Cruiser Festival, but failed to find the same success he had in 2018, being defeated in the first round by Jun Tondokoro. On March 21, Alejandro would win the vacant Wrestle-1 Tag Team Championship with Masayuki Kono after they defeated Kaz Hayashi & Pegaso Iluminar. Alejandro & Kono would make two defences of the championship, before they were dethroned by Seigo Tachibana & Shuji Kondo on June 11. In October and November, Alejandro & Kono would compete in the 2019 Wrestle-1 Tag League, only winning one of their three matches, finishing third with two points. Alejandro wrestled his last match for Wrestle-1 in a victory over Kai Fujimura on April 1, 2020, the same day Wrestle-1 ceased operations.
Pro Wrestling NOAH (2021-present)[]
After making wrestling in various Japanese promotions, including All Japan Pro Wrestling and Colega Pro Wrestling, Alejandro made his Pro Wrestling NOAH debut on July 23, 2021, under the name Aleja. Aleja was revealed to be a new member of Kongo, wrestling his debut match alongside his Kongo stablemates in a victory over Los Perros del Mal de Japon (Ikuto Hidaka, Kotaro Suzuki, NOSAWA Rongai & YO-HEY) at NOAH Sanctuary 2021. At Kawasaki Go!, Aleja would partner with Tadasuke in an unsuccessful attempt to win the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship from Stinger members Seiki Yoshioka & Yuya Susumu. Aleja received a GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship opportunity at Demolition Stage 2021 In Yokohama, but was defeated by champion HAYATA.
At Wrestle Kingdom 16 - Night 3, Kongo were defeated by Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, SANADA, Shingo Takagi & Tetsuya Naito) of New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). On February 23, 2022, Aleja would prevent Tadasuke from attacking his real life brother, Kai Fujimura, before leaving Kongo on February 25. After leaving Kongo, Aleja would begin competing in NOAH's Junior Division, reverting back to his old name Alejandro.
