The 2019 King of the Ring was a professional wrestling tournament which began on WWE's television program Monday Night Raw on August 19, 2019, and airs on both Raw and SmackDown Live. It is the first King of the Ring tournament since 2015.

The tournament featured 16 wrestlers (eight each from the Raw and SmackDown brands) competing to win the titular honor.

Background

On the August 12, 2019, episode of Raw, it was announced that the King of the Ring tournament would be returning for the first time since 2015. Later that same evening, the competitors were confirmed for the tournament: A few days later, the bracket was officially revealed.
