- Included an in-ring promo by DX, with balloons and confetti falling from the ceiling, in which Triple H said a party was being thrown in celebration to the fact that there were no longer any #1 contenders to his world title.
- He then went on to individually thank WWF Hardcore Champion Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson, Shane McMahon, X-Pac, The Road Dogg, Tori, and WWF Women's Champion Stephanie McMahon.
- Moments later, The Rock interrupted.
- After Triple H showed recent footage of The Undertaker twice costing the Rock the title, Taker came out on a motorcycle and beat down DX inside the ring while Rock watched from the ramp and Kane watched from backstage.
- Moments later, the Rock made the save but accidentally sustained a chair shot from Taker as DX left ringside.
- After the commercial break, Rock and Kane had a confrontation backstage and began fighting until they were broken apart by officials.
