The July 8, 2021 Edition of Impact was a Professional wrestling television show of Impact Wrestling. It was taped in Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.
Event[]
The first match of the night was between Jake Something and Brian Myers (with Sam Beale), with the stipulation that the loser would have to admit that their opponent is professional. Something won after countering the Roster Cut lariat into the Black Hole Slam. Myers grabbed a microphone, as if he was going to admit it, but Beale attacked Something from behind and they began beating him up. Matt Cardona then made his return to the company and fought Myers off the ring before hitting Radio Silence on Beale.
After this, Sami Callihan was supposed to have an interview, but he got arrested by security, accused of assaulting Don Callis.
Next, Deonna Purrazzo held an open challenge for her Impact Knockouts Championship, and it was answered by Lady Frost. Deonna won by submission with a Fujiwara armbar. After the match, Gail Kim made her way to the ring! Deonna thought she was going to be her opponent for Slammiversary, but Kim reminded her that she is retired, and revealed that at Slammiversary she will face a mystery opponent of Kim's choosing.
Next was a handicap match between W. Morrisey and Jason Page, Manny Smith & Deonte Evans. Morrisey made quick work of his opponents, hitting a big boot on Deonte, a powerbomb on Page and an F-5 on Smith, then laid them on top of each other and pinned the three at once with one foot.
After this match, footage of Sami Callihan attacking Don Callis was shown.
Next was a #1 Contender's match for the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championship between Havok & Rosemary faced Susan & Kimber Lee. Rosemary pinned Susan after a russian legsweep/spear combo.
Following that, Rich Swann & Willie Mack cut a promo in the ring, complaining about Violent By Design interrupting their match last week. TJP & Fallah Bahh, Violent By Design and The Good Brothers arrived to argue with them. Tommy Dreamer then appeared and announced that at Slammiversary, VBD was going to defend the Impact World Tag Team Championship against the other three teams in a fatal-4-way match, and also that a Fatal-4-way between Swann, TJP, Karl and Deaner was happening right now. Karl pinned Deaner after a Gun Stun.
Next was the contract signing for the match between Kenny Omega and Sami Callihan at Slammiversary, with Don Callis and Scott D'Amore present as well, but Sami couldn't appear due to being arrested. After Omega signed the contract, there was a blackout, and camera footage of Sami attacking Don was played, revealing that "Sami" was actually John E. Bravo in disguise, playing along with Don's plan! There was a second blackout and Sami appeared in the ring, hit Omega with a package piledriver, signed the contract and powerbombed Omega through the table.
