Jules Strongbow & Chief Jay Strongbow were a tag team in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and are two-time WWF Tag Team Champions.

History[]

Jules Strongbow was hired by the WWF in 1982, and formed a tag team with his on-screen brother, Chief Jay Strongbow. The pair made their debut on June 5, 1982, defeating Adrian Adonis & Jesse Ventura. After making their debut, The Strongbows had a number of opportunities to win the WWF Tag Team Championship from Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito, but were unsuccessful. On June 28, 1982, The Strongbows defeated Fuji & Saito after guest referee Ivan Putski failed to see Fuji's foot on the bottom rope, allowing Jules & Jay to win their first championship.

The Strongbows defended the WWF Tag Team Championship against the former champions on July 9, 1982, before being dethroned by Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito on the July 24, 1982 episode of WWF Championship Wrestling, ending their 15 day reign. Jules & Jay then defeated the new champions in a Texas Death match on July 17, 1982, but the match was not for the championship. After many failed attempts, The Strongbows finally won the WWF Tag Team Championship back from Fuji & Saito on the October 30, 1982 episode of WWF Championship Wrestling.

After winning the WWF Tag Team Championship for a second time, The Strongbows defended it against a variety of opponents, including in a Texas Death match on December 28, 1982 against the former champions, Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito. Jay & Jules entered into a feud with The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) in 1983, and were defeated in a Two Out of Three Falls non-title match on the February 19, 1983 episode of WWF On PRISM Network. On the March 12, 1983 episode of WWF Championship Wrestling, The Wild Samoans ended The Strongbow's 133 day reign. After numerous failed attempts to win the WWF Tag Team Championship for a third time, Jules & Jay eventually split.
