Paige Wooding (April 23, 1995) is a British professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) under the ring name Jamie Hayter. Prior to signing with AEW, Hayter was known for her work in Pro Wrestling EVE from 2016-2020 as well as in the German Wrestling Federation from 2016-2018 and Revolution Pro Wrestling from 2015-2021. Hayter also wrestled a significant number of matches for Japan's women's wrestling promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom between 2019 and 2020.
Career[]
Early career (2015-2020)[]
Hayter made her professional wrestling debut on May 2, 2015, losing to Jinny Couture. She wrestled frequently throughout numerous English promotions and also competed in the German Wrestling Federation (GWF).
Revolution Pro Wrestling (2015-2021)[]
On June 27, 2015, Hayter made her debut for Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro), defeating Zoe Lucas. Three years later, on June 3, 2018, Hayter won the RevPro Undisputed British Women's Championship after beating Jinny. Following a reign of 182 days, Hayter lost the title to Zoe Lucas on December 2. On February 7, 2021, Hayter won the Undisputed British Women's Championship for a second time after she beat Gisele Shaw. On June 27, the title was vacated after Hayter attended a WWE try-out rather than a RevPro event.
World Wonder Ring Stardom (2019-2020)[]
Hayter also wrestled in Japan for World Wonder Ring Stardom between 2019 and 2020. She became a one-time Goddesses Of Stardom Champion after her and Bea Priestley defeated Jungle Kyona and Konami on January 19, 2020. Hayter would also win the SWA Undisputed World Women's Championship after defeating Utami Hayashishita on January 26. On July 20, the Goddesses of Stardom Championship was vacated due to Hayter and Priestley being unable to defend the title due to travel restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In September, the SWA Undisputed World Women's Championship was also vacated due to travel restrictions.
World Wrestling Entertainment (2019)[]
Hayter made her World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) debut on the May 15, 2019 episode of NXT UK, facing Piper Niven in a losing effort. This would be Hayter's only match in WWE.
All Elite Wrestling (2019, 2021-present)[]
Hayter debuted for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) on the October 23 episode of Dynamite in a match lost to Dr. Britt Baker DMD. She returned on the November 6 episode of Dynamite teaming with Emi Sakura in a victory over Riho & Shanna.
Two years later, Hayter made her return on the debut episode of Rampage, joining Dr. Britt Baker DMD in a post match brawl with Red Velvet and Kris Statlander. It was then announced via AEW's social media that Hayter had signed a contract with AEW to become a full time member of their roster. On the August 25 episode of Dynamite, she won her first singles match, defeating Red Velvet. She also went on to cement an alliance with Dr. Britt Baker DMD, who was in her corner during the bout. She made her pay-per-view debut at All Out, during which she competed in the Battle Royal won by Ruby Soho. She picked up her second AEW singles victory on the October 19 episode of AEW Dark, defeating Tiffany Nieves.
Hayter would then go on to compete in a tournament to crown the inaugural TBS Champion. She defeated Anna Jay in the first round, before she was eliminated by Thunder Rosa in the quarter-final. The following year, Hayter participated in the Women's Owen Hart Cup, defeating Skye Blue to qualify. However, on the May 11 episode of Dynamite, Hayter was eliminated by Toni Storm. On August 5, at Battle of the Belts III, Hayter unsuccessfully challenged Women's World Champion Thunder Rosa. The following month, at All Out, Hayter competed in a Four Way Match for the Interim Women's World Championship, but failed to win. At Full Gear on November 19, Hayter defeated Toni Storm to win the Interim Women's World Championship. Four days later, Thunder Rosa, the lineal champion, relinquished the title, making Hayter the lineal Women's World Champion. Hayter made her first defence on the December 21 episode of Dynamite, defeating Hikaru Shida.
