Isak Bjerknes (July 6, 1985 – October 10, 2007) was a Norwegian professional wrestler known by the ring name Isak Rain. Bjerknes wrestled for four years from May 2004 until September of 2007, only a month prior to his death. Rain was best known for his work in the Norwegian circuit, especially for the Norwegian Wrestling Federation where he became a two-time NWF Tag Team Champion. Bjerknes also wrestled for the World Association Of Wrestling, Fight Club Finland and Italian Championship Wrestling.
Career[]
Bjerknes was trained by NWF wrestling star Erik Isaksen and British wrestlers Ricky Knight and Robbie Brookside. From that point, Bjerknes wrestled his first NWF match on May 23, 2004 in a tag match, debuting at first as Isak. Two years later, on January 21, Isak won his first championship, winning the vacant NWF Tag Team titles. Throughout the course of his career, Bjerknes, working his later matches as Isak Rain, wrestled between Norwegian and English circuits, before wrestling his last recorded match on September 30, 2007.
Death[]
It was reported on October 10, 2007, five days after his stated retirement, Bjerkness was killed in a car accident. Bjerknes was only 22 years of age.
