House Of Torture is a heel professional wrestling stable in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). House Of Torture is a sub-group of BULLET CLUB, and was formed by Dick Togo, EVIL, and Yujiro Takahashi after they accepted SHO into BULLET CLUB following the disbandment of Roppongi 3K.

History[]

Formation (2021)[]

In August 2021, Roppongi 3K (SHO & YOH) took part in the Super Junior Tag League 2021, however, the pair went on a losing streak, finishing the tournament with 0 points. SHO turned on YOH, disbanding Roppongi 3K, with their feud culminating in a match between the former partners at Wrestle Grand Slam In Metlife Dome - Night 1. After SHO defeated YOH, he was accepted into the BULLET CLUB by Dick Togo, EVIL, and Yujiro Takahashi, forming House Of Torture in the process. The following day, at Wrestle Grand Slam In Metlife Dome - Night 2, EVIL was unsuccessful in capturing the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship from Shingo Takagi.

During September and October, EVIL and Yujiro Takahashi competed in the G1 Climax 2021, with EVIL in Block B and Takahashi in Block A. However, neither man advanced to the finals, with EVIL finishing third in Block B with fourteen points, and Takahashi finishing ninth in Block A with just five points.

Rivalry with CHAOS (2021-2022)[]

After the G1 Climax 2021, House Of Torture began feuding with CHAOS. At Power Struggle 2021, EVIL, SHO & Yujiro Takahashi won the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championship from CHAOS members Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI. House Of Torture attacked the former champions after the match, however, SHO's former partner YOH, made his return, saving his stablemates. House Of Torture then took part in both the Best Of The Super Juniors 2021 and the World Tag League 2021, with SHO competing in the Best Of The Super Juniors while EVIL partnered with Yujiro Takahashi in the World Tag League. SHO performed well in the Best Of The Super Juniors, looking set to advance to the final, however, a loss to YOH on the final day dragged SHO down to seventh. EVIL & Takahashi advanced to the World Tag League final, winning eight of their eleven block matches to finish second with sixteen points. However, EVIL & Takahashi were defeated by CHAOS members Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI in the final after Dick Togo attempted to interfere, but Tomohiro Ishii prevented the interference. SHO interfered in the Best Of The Super Juniors final, attacking both YOH and Hiromu Takahashi, and also attacked YOH in an interview after the match.

At Wrestle Kingdom 16 - Night 1, YOH once again defeated former partner and rival SHO. However, House Of Torture still saw success on Night 1, with EVIL defeating Tomohiro Ishii to win the NEVER Openweight Championship, after interference from Dick Togo, later in the night. At Wrestle Kingdom 16 - Night 2, EVIL, SHO & Yujiro Takahashi successfully defended the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championship against CHAOS members Hirooki Goto, YOH & YOSHI-HASHI. At Wrestle Kingdom 16 - Night 3, EVIL partnered with Dick Togo to represent New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) against NOAH wrestlers Go Shiozaki & Masa Kitamiya, but were defeated.

The rivalry between House Of Torture and CHAOS continued during the New Years Golden Series 2022, with the groups facing each other in a number of multi-man matches. On Night 10 of the tour, EVIL successfully defended his NEVER Openweight Championship against former champion Tomohiro Ishii in a Lumberjack Death Match. On Night 14, EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi attempted to win the IWGP Tag Team Championship from Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI), but were unsuccessful. On Night 15, EVIL, SHO & Yujiro Takahashi successfully defended the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championship against CHAOS members Hirooki Goto, YOH & YOSHI-HASHI.

Rivalries with LIG and Suzuki-gun (2022)[]

After the conclusion of the New Years Golden Series, EVIL would enter into the New Japan Cup 2022. After defeating Ryusuke Taguchi in the first round, followed by a victory over Tama Tonga in the second round, EVIL was eliminated after losing to Hiromu Takahashi in the third round. During this time, SHO would begin a feud with IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion El Desperado, attempting, and sometimes successfully, demasking the champion during multi-man matches against Suzuki-gun. After the New Japan Cup, EVIL would begin a feud with Hiromu Takahashi over the NEVER Openweight Championship. During multi-man matches with Los Ingobernables de Japon, EVIL would be forced to watch Takahashi pin stablemate Dick Togo.
