The Heart of SHIMMER championship was first introduced at SHIMMER 80 on July 8, 2016. There was a 12-woman tournament held at the event to determine the new champion. Nicole Savoy won the title after defeating Candice LeRae and Heidi Lovelace in the finals of the tournament.
