Gosford is a New South Wales suburb located in the heart of the Central Coast Region, about 76 kilometres north of the Sydney. It was first explored the late 1700s and settled in 1823. Until 1850 when a connecting road was built and 1877 when the rail line was built it was largely isolated from the rest of the region.
