Gene Munny is a British professional wrestler currently working on the independent scene, wrestling in various promotions including PROGRESS Wrestling.
Career[]
Gene Munny made his debut in 2015 before wrestling in various independent promotions across the United Kingdom, winning championships in promotions such as APEX Pro Wrestling, HOPE Wrestling, Wrestling Resurgence, and RISE Underground Pro Wrestling. Munny made his debut for PROGRESS Wrestling at Natural Progression Series 6, where he was eliminated in the first round of the Natural Progression Series by Scotty Davis. At Chapter 95, Munny competed in a Rumble Match for the vacant Proteus Championship.
After an absence from PROGRESS following Chapter 100, Munny returned at Chapter 104, failing to win a Four Way Match for a shot at the PROGRESS World Championship. Munny would soon form a team with Big Guns Joe, which would soon be dubbed Big Money Gun Dogs. At Chapter 115, Big Money Gun Dogs failed to win the PROGRESS Tag Team Championship from Kid Lykos & Kid Lykos II in a Doghouse Rules Match. Munny eventually returned to singles competition in PROGRESS, winning a Six Way Scramble Match at Chapter 125, earning his first shot at the PROGRESS World Championship. However, Munny failed to win the title from Cara Noir. Munny qualified for the 2022 Super Strong Style 16 Tournament after besting Kid Lykos II at Chapter 134, making his way to the semi final, where he was eliminated by Chris Ridgeway.
