The Frontón México is a Basque ball enclosure located in the Plaza de la República, in the Tabacalera neighborhood of Mexico City. Opened on May 10, 1929. it remained closed until March 10, 2017 to become a multifunctional entertainment center for all types of entertainment. Named as the house of jai alai in Mexico and important tournaments with international-sized baseballs are held.
It was the first roofed enclosure for large-scale sporting events in the Mexican capital. Currently, Frontón México is an entertainment center of the 21st century that "has the capacity to host a wide variety of sporting, cultural and artistic events."
